Positive Thinking Is Hard Work...

...when passion is absent.

It's not just hard work; without the power of passion and emotion backing it up, positive thinking is a self-made trap waiting to strangle the seeds of your dreams before they even get a chance to germinate.

Dreams are very much like newly planted seeds. They need fertile soil (your creative mind) and protection from weeds (negative input) if they're to survive, to grow and to push their way up through the soil to manifest.

Your mind is the fertile soil for your dreams.

The intensity of what you feel about your dreams is what will nourish them to manifestation.
To protect them, you must remove the focus of attention from anything or anyone that dwells upon amd generates negativity and doubt, because they are the surest way to drag your emotions down.

Let me set you a challenge:

For the next 30 days, keep your television and radio turned off, don't buy or read any newspapers or magazines (unless they're inspiring and positive) and, if you want to watch a movie, watch ones that are uplifting in nature, with happy endings. The whole purpose is to create and maintain a nourishing mental environment for your fledgling dreams.

If you live in a household with others who like to have the TV and radio blaring whilst pouring over newspapers and gossip magazines, choose not to join them and instead, find a space or place where you can be alone to visualise and pour passion into your dreams.

At this stage, it would be helpful not to discuss your objectives to anyone who isn't empathetic; it's part of protecting your baby 'seeds' from being choked to death by the 'weeds' of negativity. Plenty of time to talk about it when you can back it up with the proof of your manifestation. In that way, they won't be able to help but sit up and take notice!

A powerful tool to help you remain on track if you feel your enthusiasm begin to slip, is reading the success stories of others who have made the Law of Attraction their way of life. They're truly inspiring! Nothing helps defeat the blues, inner doubts and the negativity of comments like, 'that stuff doesn't work' better than the living proof of what others have manifested.

Feeling good, feeling happy and embracing a sense of bliss is so important if your dreams are going to manifest. That can never be emphasised enough.

Do whatever it is that puts you in a joyous, happy state, be it listening to music, reading motivational stories, hiking through nature, writing down your dreams, meditating, playing with pets, gardening; whatever works for you.

The amount and intensity of joy and passion you can put behind the things you ask for, the more time each day you allow yourself to keep picturing the day your dream comes true, the more you feel the way you will feel when it does, will be what determines how quickly they will manifest.

Feelings are everything. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Without feelings, we have no way of monitoring the millions of thoughts that go through our minds in order to arrest the negative ones.  It's so important to keep our emotions on our prize...joyful! Surround yourself with pictures and images of what it is you want to manifest in your life, and particularly put some where they will be the first thing you see the minute you open your eyes in the mornings.

Start your day visualising the dream already fulfilled, feel what it feels like the day it manifests, feel the joy of it and then say 'thank you' for all the things that are in your life right now, that you are thankful for, then let it all go and go about your day.

There's no need to concern yourself with how it's going to happen; let the Universe (or your Higher Self, or whatever you want to call it) worry about that. It's not your problem. In fact, by deliberately not caring about the 'how' of it, you're demonstrating belief, faith and trust in the Universe (Higher Self, etc.) to take good care of you and give you your hearts' desire.

Your job is to keep your dreams alive.
The Universe will take care of the rest.

I have a feeling that this Law of Attraction (LOA) system is very forgiving and the reason I say that is because I was manifesting things many years ago, without knowing anything about the LOA, the rules and procedures that 'must' be followed, or any other system of positive thinking. More importantly, I never once had an “attitude of gratitude” while I was doing it.

When a situation outside of my control would occur that negatively impacted me, I'd feel an intense and desperate need that it must be changed, no matter what, for the better. Precisely because it was outside of my control meant that my feelings about whatever it was, were very intense, if not frantic and angry, and would fill me up until I felt as though I'd rupture if I didn't get them off my chest.

The only way I could offload the feelings was to write them down, 'telling' my subconscious mind via my diary (hey! I didn't know any better at the time, ok?) what I wanted and that I wanted it pronto! (not in so many words).

At the time, I was in a relationship with a self-confessed cynic. If it hadn't been for my habit of writing these things down and dating every entry, he'd never have believed me years later when I came across my old entries and we read them together, remembering the events that had unfolded as a result.

Both of us were startled to discover that the things I had asked for had not only manifested, but manifested with almost every detail I'd listed!

So, I wouldn't be too uptight about following 'procedures'; yes, they certainly help with focus, but know that it's your intention, the frequency of visualising and, most important of all, the intensity of emotion you put into them.

Thankfulness, gratitude or appreciation for what you already have in life, is a powerful way of lifting and shifting your thinking processes, which in turn also helps to protect and keep your dreams alive while the Universe works on their manifestation.

The procedure I follow is simply this:

1) When I have a new desire I want to have manifested, I say something like (for example), “I declare to the Universe that I want every part of my body and every organ and cell to be in permanently perfect, vibrant health and energy.”

2) I'll spend a few minutes with my eyes closed and picture myself jumping for joy and running along a beach or in a park, glowing with vibrant good health. I imagine how great it feels to be in that state and then I feel it until I'm practically bursting with it!

3) After that, I will think of all the things I'm thankful for and say “thank you for my perfect health, thank you for the fantastic, refreshing sleep I had last night, thank you so much for my car, for a great breakfast, for this beautiful day, my house, my friends, my job....” etc. Be sure to say thank you for dreams already manifested, too. Thankfulness encourages more of the good things you want.

4) Finally, let it all go. Release it to the Universe and go about your day. It's done now. The Universe has received your order and is busy filling it.

5) Make sure to keep the seedlings of your dreams nourished by visualising the day they manifest and feel what it will feel like when it happens.

Don't let anyone steal your dreams

Protect them, believe in the power of the Universe to deliver and the power within you to play your part.

You were born to have a fulfilling, wonderful, joyous, loving life. The Universe will provide...as long as you continue to ask, see, believe, receive and remain thankful for what you already have.

Calling In Some Help: EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)

In a nutshell, EFT (also referred to as 'tapping') is a method of literally tapping various acupuncture points on the upper body whilst repeating phrases about the situation at hand. The Chinese believe that energy travels through the body via energy pathways they call 'meridians'. Tapping various meridian points serves to unravel blockages, or 'tangles', of stagnating energy, allowing it to move freely again.

EFT is powerful, fast-acting and delivers
almost instantaneous results
anywhere, any time.

It’s also an excellent tool - and perfectly safe - for children, too.

I won't go into details of how to use EFT, but if I could only recommend one website for information on this fascinating technique, it would be: www.lifecoachingwithlindsay.comHowever, there are many excellent sites dedicated to EFT.  I give hers as an example because it was the first major site that provided all I needed, together with free materials to get me started.

Lindsay Kenny is a Master of EFT and provides a wealth of free information on her website, as well as a free starter pack for beginners. I also found her free video demonstrations most helpful in grasping just how quick and easy the process is.

I would suggest to you that if you're finding it difficult to back up your dreams with intense feelings of joy and belief, EFT is a powerful tool to help you clear out whatever blockages are holding you back. Perhaps you hold internal beliefs that you 'don't deserve' to have what you're asking for, or something similar. Whatever it is, EFT release you from limiting internal beliefs so that absolutely nothing can stand in your way anymore.

The reason this is so important is because the minute you begin to doubt the validity of your dreams and desires, the minute you begin to doubt that the Law of Attraction really works (and isn't just 'hype'), then you're essentially – and instantly - cancelling your order from the Universe.

When people say “that Law of Attraction stuff doesn't work”, what they're really saying is that they allowed doubt to enter their minds and kill the tender seedlings of their dreams and wishes. They let doubt starve their dreams. In effect, they cancelled their order with the Universe. They gave up.

Never give up.

In Napoleon Hill's classic book, “Think And Grow Rich” - a book that had people like Henry Ford practically screaming for his blood because of the secrets he was virtually giving away to the world - he talks about the story of a man who quit his search for gold...and lived to regret it.

The man had been so passionate and so convinced that he was going to find the 'mother lode', but as time went by without finding anything more than a few scraps here and there, he began to feel disheartened and ended up selling his tools and rights to the site.

Shortly thereafter, the new owners discovered the mother lode and it was – quite literally – just 3 feet from where the man had been digging!

Would he ever have found it had he not sold out and stopped believing? Yes, he would! It was only 3 feet away!

The exact same thing applies to you and what you want the Universe to bring into your life. Never, ever give up!

Ask, feel, see, believe, be thankful...receive
